Terms of Service

Creative Editor is a creative writing tool designed to reduce friction and protect your path to the flow state. It provides an AI writing companion, mood-based workspace modes, flow session tracking, voice tools, and writing analytics. It is built primarily as a stress-free environment for your creative work, not a productivity suite or content-generation service.

You sign in using your Google account via OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that are used for abusive, harmful, or illegal purposes.

• You own your writing. Everything you type in Creative Editor belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your text, documents, dictations, or any other content you create on the platform.
• You control access. Your documents are private by default. We do not share your content with other users or third parties without your explicit action.
• We do not use your writing to train AI models. We do not use the content of your documents, notes, and dictations is never used to fine-tune, train, or improve any AI or machine learning model.
• We are not liable for what you write. Creative Editor provides the tools; you provide the content. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of information you write, store, or share using the platform.

You agree not to use Creative Editor to:

• Create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, threatening, harassing, or abusive.
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access another user's data.
• Use automated scripts or bots to scrape or abuse the service.
• Reverse-engineer or copy any part of the platform's source code or AI systems.

AI-powered features (Echo suggestions, Verify / web search, Review analysis, Heteroglossia generation) consume credits from your balance. Free accounts start with a welcome credit grant. Credit packs and monthly subscriptions are available. Credits are non-refundable once consumed.

AI suggestions are generated by third-party language model providers. Outputs are provided as-is and may not always be accurate. You are responsible for reviewing and deciding what to include in your writing.

Creative Editor does not display advertisements and does not use your data for ad-targeting purposes. We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertising networks, data brokers, or any third-party marketing services.

We aim to provide a reliable, high-quality service and are continuously working to improve it. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We are not liable for data loss caused by service outages, bugs, or infrastructure failures — though we work hard to prevent them.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any feature) with reasonable notice where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Creative Editor and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost writing, missed deadlines, or reliance on AI-generated content.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
